1. About Apollo Replica

Apollo Replica is a small handcraft project based in Barcelona, Spain. We hand-build replicas inspired by the DSKY (Display & Keyboard) of the Apollo Guidance Computer, aimed at collectors, Apollo-program enthusiasts and users of space simulators such as yaAGC, NASSP and ReEntry.

We work as hobbyists, for hobbyists. We are not an industrial manufacturer, a certified supplier or an instrumentation laboratory. Every unit leaves the workshop after hand-assembly and a bench-test of basic functionality. The look, feel and cadence of the unit are inspired by the original DSKY, but the product is an artisanal recreation — not a historical artefact, not a reproduction of certified aerospace hardware.

2. Nature of the product and buyer's acknowledgements

By purchasing a product from Apollo Replica, you expressly acknowledge and accept that:

• The product is a decorative collector's item, intended for personal desktop use, space-simulator setups and, optionally, Home Assistant integration. It is not certified for aerospace, medical, military, industrial, safety or any other critical use.
• The product is not a toy and is not designed for children. It contains electronics, a display and small parts; keep it away from unsupervised minors.
• The product includes a 3D-printed enclosure and keys (PLA and PETG) and a hand-assembled PCB. Hand manufacturing involves minor variations in finish, colour and tolerances that do not constitute defects.
• The bench-tests we run before shipping verify basic display, keyboard and communication operation. They are not certified laboratory tests and do not imply suitability for any specific use other than the one described.
• You understand that the product requires basic knowledge to connect and configure (USB power, connection to a computer or home network, installation of companion software), or you accept that you will obtain such assistance at your own cost. Integration with third-party simulators or Home Assistant may require adjustments depending on the software version in use at any given time.
• Compatibility with third-party software (yaAGC, NASSP, ReEntry, Home Assistant or others) is offered as best-effort information based on prior testing. We do not guarantee compatibility with every version, configuration or platform, present or future.

These acknowledgements are essential to the formation of the contract. The purchase only completes if you accept them.

3. Acceptance and contract formation

To place an order you must be of legal age and have legal capacity to enter into a contract. The display of products on the website is not a binding offer but an invitation to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an email confirming acceptance of the order and the start of preparation. Until that point we may decline an order for justified reasons (material pricing error, suspicion of fraud, capacity issues, etc.) and refund you in full.

We may update these Terms at any time. The version applicable to your order is the one published on the site at the moment your order is confirmed.

4. Products and pricing

Apollo Replica currently offers the DSKY replica and related accessories (assembled PCB and key set).

• The DSKY replica starts at €599 and varies according to the options chosen in the configurator.
• Prices are shown in euros (EUR) as a single global price. For customers in the European Union, the price includes VAT at the rate of the destination country (declared through the OSS scheme). For customers outside the EU, the order is treated as an export exempt from EU VAT; any import duties, taxes or customs fees at destination are the buyer's responsibility.
• Images and descriptions are representative. Minor variations in finish, colour or component placement are inherent to handcrafted items and do not constitute defects.
• We reserve the right to change prices and configurations at any time. The price applicable to your order is the one confirmed at checkout.

5. Orders, payment and production lead times

When you place an order:

• Payment is processed by Stripe. We accept the payment methods enabled by Stripe. We do not store card data on our servers.
• Your card is charged at the time of purchase. Effective acceptance of the order is confirmed by email when it enters the production queue.
• Every unit is hand-built. The estimated wait shown on the product and cart pages depends on the number of orders ahead of yours.
• Production lead times are estimates and do not constitute a contractual commitment to deliver on a specific date. They are provided using the best information available at the time and may vary depending on order volume, component availability or workshop incidents.
• If for justified reasons we cannot complete your order within a reasonable timeframe, we will tell you and you may choose to wait or to receive a full refund.

6. Shipping

We ship worldwide from Spain. The full shipping policy is available on the Shipping & Returns page. In summary:

• Shipping is free worldwide via insured tracked courier.
• Transit time is independent of production time and depends on destination and carrier.
• Risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer when the buyer takes physical possession of the package, except where the transport is arranged by us and delivered differently than agreed, in which case applicable consumer law applies.
• For shipments outside the EU, import duties, taxes and customs fees at destination are the buyer's responsibility. If you refuse delivery or the package returns to us due to unpaid customs charges, the associated costs may be deducted from any refund.

7. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you buy as a consumer resident in the European Union, you have 14 calendar days from receipt of the product to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU and, in Spain, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users).

• To exercise the right of withdrawal, email jopalabsl@gmail.com before the deadline, stating your order number and your decision to withdraw.
• The product must be returned complete, in its original packaging, used no more than necessary to inspect its nature and operation, with all accessories and documentation included. Handling that reduces the value of the product may reduce the amount refunded.
• Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer, unless the product is defective or the wrong item was shipped. Given the value and fragility of the product, we require tracked and insured shipping.
• Once we have received and inspected the returned product, we will refund the amount within 14 days using the same payment method you used, unless we agree otherwise.
• The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised beyond the standard configurator options, under article 103 of RDL 1/2007.

8. Statutory guarantee of conformity

As a consumer resident in the European Union, you benefit from a statutory guarantee of conformity for a minimum of two (2) years from delivery of the product, under Directive (EU) 2019/771. In Spain, this period is extended to three (3) years for products purchased from 1 January 2022, under Royal Decree-Law 7/2021 transposing that Directive into Spanish law.

This guarantee covers defects of conformity existing at the time of delivery. During the first two years the defect is presumed to have existed at that time, unless proven otherwise.

• If you spot a defect, contact us at jopalabsl@gmail.com with your order number, a description and, if possible, photos or video of the issue.
• You will be entitled, as applicable, to repair or replacement at no cost, to a reduction of the price, or to terminate the contract, in the terms set by applicable law.
• The guarantee does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, modifications, connection to incompatible power sources, work by unauthorised third parties, or normal wear of 3D-printed parts (surface finish, mild deformation from heat or prolonged sunlight).

9. Technical support

Beyond the statutory guarantee, we offer non-contractual lifetime support for as long as Apollo Replica remains active. The official support channel is our Discord server (https://discord.gg/7B6Vz8qwK8), where we will do our best to help with questions on use, simulator and Home Assistant integration, firmware and basic maintenance.

Support is offered as a courtesy, within our means, with no commitment on response time, availability or outcome. It is not a warranty extension, it does not entitle you to free repairs or replacements beyond Section 8, and it may change or end if Apollo Replica stops operating.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apollo Replica's total liability for any claim arising from the contract, the use of the product or the inability to use the product, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the buyer for the relevant product.

Under no circumstances shall Apollo Replica be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, loss of opportunity, lost profits, business interruption, moral damages or any other damages not directly arising from the product itself.

In particular, and without limitation:

• The product is supplied "as is" regarding its decorative and collectible nature, with no additional warranties of fitness for purposes beyond the use described in these Terms.
• Apollo Replica is not liable for damage resulting from misuse, internal tampering, modifications, incorrect power supply or any use of the product different from the one described in these Terms or in the documentation provided.
• Integration with third-party software or hardware depends on those third parties. Apollo Replica does not guarantee operation of the product with future versions, updates, API changes, modifications, forks or custom configurations of external software.
• Installing unofficial firmware, unauthorised add-ons or modifications of the software provided by Apollo Replica is carried out solely at the user's risk, and damage resulting from such actions cannot be attributed to Apollo Replica.
• Apollo Replica is not liable for incidents caused by force majeure or events beyond its reasonable control: carrier issues, customs delays, supply-chain disruption, natural disasters, conflict, government action or prolonged failures of third-party services.
• Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by defective products under the applicable product-liability regime, or mandatory consumer rights.

11. Use of the product

The buyer is responsible for how the product is used. You agree to use it reasonably, following the documentation we provide and the applicable technical and safety rules (in particular those concerning power supply and USB connection).

• The product is powered over USB at low voltage. Do not connect it to power sources other than those indicated.
• Do not open, modify or tamper with the electronics, except to the extent the unit is shipped as a kit. Improper handling can damage the product and void the guarantee on the affected parts.
• The product is intended for indoor home use. It is not water-resistant, not designed for industrial dust environments, and not designed for extreme temperatures.
• Any modification, opening, internal tampering, incorrect power supply or use other than the one described in these Terms voids the contractual guarantee and releases Apollo Replica from any liability for the damages that may arise, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.

12. Intellectual property and Apollo-program references

Apollo Replica is not affiliated with, associated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed in any way by NASA, MIT, Raytheon, Draper Laboratory or any other institution or organisation linked to the Apollo program. Historical references to those institutions, to astronauts, to the missions, or to figures such as Margaret Hamilton are made only for descriptive, educational and historical-context purposes, within the scope of public domain and fair use.

The names "Apollo", "NASA", "Raytheon", "MIT" and similar belong to their respective owners.

The brand "Apollo Replica", the logo, the website, the texts, photographs, illustrations, designs and other original content are owned by the seller or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property laws. No reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation is allowed without prior written authorisation, except for the uses permitted by law.

The physical product you buy is yours, but the purchase does not transfer any rights over trademarks, designs or software beyond what is expressly stated.

13. Software, firmware and source-available project

Apollo Replica publishes part of its firmware and designs as source available in the project's public repository. Use of that code is governed by the license published in the repository, separate from these Terms.

Official firmware updates are offered as a courtesy. Applying them is optional and at your own risk. We are not liable for damage caused by updates carried out by the buyer.

Installing unofficial firmware, unauthorised add-ons or any modification of the software provided by Apollo Replica is carried out solely at the user's risk. Apollo Replica is not liable for damage, incompatibility or loss of functionality resulting from such modifications, and reserves the right to decline support on modified units.

14. Personal data

Processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms by reference. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you have read and understood that Policy.

15. Complaints, applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and the contracts entered into under them are governed by Spanish law and, where applicable, by EU consumer law.

In the event of a dispute, and save where mandatory rules provide otherwise, the parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Barcelona (Spain). Consumers resident in the European Union additionally benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of their country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their own domicile where applicable law so provides.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions remain in force. Our failure to enforce a right at any time does not waive that right going forward. These Terms, together with the order confirmation, the Privacy Policy and the Shipping & Returns Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties on this subject.
